Typical mobile speeds
Give your customers fast 5G data connections with typical download speeds of 10-250Mbps and upload speeds of 1 to 410 Mbps in 5G coverage areas and on 5G devices. Give your customers fast 4G data connections with typical download speeds of 2-50Mbps and upload speeds of 1 to 40 Mbps in 4G coverage areas and on 4G devices. Maximise download speeds with 4G Carrier Aggregation on appropriate devices.
mmWave coverage
mmWave technology is included in our 5G product. mmWave adds better data capacity in highly populated places and on compatible devices. mmWave coverage is rolling out now and is currently only available in limited locations.

The Telstra Wholesale Mobile Solution utilises part of Telstra’s 5G, 4G, and 3G* coverage. The coverage footprint is underpinned by over 9,900 sites of which 8,800 are 4G sites. The service provides 4G Coverage reaching at least 97.9% of the Australian population. The Telstra Wholesale mobile coverage area footprint reaches more than 98.8% of the Australian population and covers more than 1.6 M square kilometres of the Australian landmass.
Plans and Networks used
Plans with 5G access operate on 5G, 4G and 3G networks. Plans without 5G access operate on the 4G and 3G networks only.
Speeds
Speeds may vary due to factors such as location, device capabilities, distance from the base station, local conditions, concurrent users, hardware and software configuration and download/upload destination. 5G is rolling out now in selected areas and is available with a compatible 5G device and on 5G inclusive plans.
Download Speeds
Telstra Wholesale Mobile end users with 5G plans are speed capped at 250Mbps. For Telstra Wholesale Mobile end users with a plan that does not have 5G access included the speed is capped at 100Mbps. The capped network capability is not an indication of the actual speed that will be experienced by end users of the service.

For all other Telstra Wholesale Mobile end users:
- When in 4G coverage typical speed range will be 2 to 100Mbps
- When in 3G coverage typical speed range will be 1.1- 20Mbps
